The Shadow Sequel Poll

Who would you pick to compose the soundtrack ?

I think that the time frame has to be considered. If a sequel was to be made in the next couple of years, there's no reason why Jerry Goldsmith couldn't do a sequel to his score (and let's hear some agitation for Goldsmith's entire score for the first movie to be released. There's 43 minutes of unreleased score, including some of the best and evocative music, not available commerically).

However, if a sequel was to come further in the future, I think Danny Elfman could contribute a fine score. Or Shirley Walker. Or Eliot Goldenthal (There are some bits of Goldenthal's score in Titus that instantly evoke the Thirties/Forties period needed for a Shadow film) Or if we still want a Goldsmith-type sound, we go for James Horner, requesting that he not give us a Celine Dion moment, please.

—William Hunt
